Farmer Access to Regional Markets (FARMS®)
Farmers Access to Regional Markets (FARMSĀ®) is an innovative agri-business supply chain model developed by the Rural Development Center (RDC) at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). FARMS addresses universal problems facing small farmers around the world, particularly those associated with business risk. It leverages market forces to effectively and practically address these problems while creating a sustainable economic engine that encourages investment by industry and drives growth.
