Berlin Micro Brew Burley Oak Joins Skipjack Network
This is a start up business received support from the Rural Development Center RLF Start-Up and USDA. Bryan Brushmiller the owner, is dedicated to using local famers for growing his grains.
The inspiration for the name Burley Oak Brewing Company was inspired by the name of the town of Berlin which was from a tavern there Burleigh Inn, our traditional brewing methods and the history of their brewhouse. Their building was originally a Cooperage - making oak barrels to fill with local produce and seafood to ship off to Baltimore in the early 1900's. They are bringing barrels back to the building, aiding them in the aging of their hand-crafted ales.
