The Ocean City Development Corporation has developed a set of building design standards, and assisted with the renovation of a number of properties, including the development of some much needed employee housing.

Public arts projects include the eagle sculpture at 144th street and the White Marlin at Division Street at the foot of the Route 50 Bridge. Also area arts groups including area schools have participated in a mural program on utility boxes around the city.

The Rural Development Center at University of Maryland Eastern Shore has provided funding for a variety of Ocean City Development Corporation projects.

Glenn suggests other communities planning to begin revitalization efforts work with regional groups. The Ocean City Development Corporation is ready to help Ocean City property owners who request assistance. Even in challenging economic times this is an exciting job, with new opportunities almost every day.
